Even in a family-oriented destination, some lodgings pay more attention to the pre-adult set than others do. The old family fave Radisson does well. Radisson Resort Parkway (1.5 miles from Disney in Kissimmee), offers a large free-form pool with waterfall and water slide, perfect for kids.

There is no shortage of accommodations for the family traveler. Check into a hotel around Disney or those in Lake Buena Vista. Hotels of any size, both chain and independent, usually have kiddie pools. Many offer baby-sitting/child care and special entertainment, such as Disney movies or puppet shows.

There are also a slew of hotels that cater specifically to family travelers near and around Universal Studios Orlando.
